Always read the fine print… customer asked me if I would match prices today. I explained that I would but it would cost her more; all she read was $6.95 per room. She has 3 rooms $20.85 measured out to 300 square feet. Pre-Condtioning 25 cents a square foot $75. Sanitizing Rinse 25 cents a square foot another $75. (Don’t forget; it’s easy to overlook because the technician pictured is standing in it. “$15 Service Charge to All Areas) Total bill $185.85; not too bad. I then explained that no reputable floor cleaning company would “Clean” carpets without the Pre-conditioning or sanitizing rinse. Our company includes both in our pricing, which is 35 cents a square foot. Our price $105 and she had our coupon, final price $85. Told her I work on commission and that matching the ad would actually make me more money; but I prefer integrity over scamming someone.
