RSEP extends its heartfelt condolences to the family of Officer Jamal Mitchell, as well as our fellow officers at the Minneapolis Police Department. We deeply mourn the recent events that have transpired. Officer Mitchell made the ultimate sacrifice while safeguarding the residents of Minneapolis, and his bravery will forever be remembered. RSEP stands in solidarity with all those affected by this tragic incident, offering our unwavering support and prayers during this difficult time. As a symbol of respect, our officers now wear a black band in honor of Officer Jamal Mitchell and his selfless sacrifice.

With heavy hearts, we mourn the unthinkable tragedy that struck Burnsville. The loss of these brave officers has cast a cloud over the entire community. As we grieve, we hold the families of the fallen in our prayers, hoping they may find comfort during this darkest of times. We also pray for the medic whose life was tragically cut short. There are no words to express the sorrow we feel. In solidarity with our brothers and sisters in blue, our RSEP officers will wear mourning bands through March to honor the ultimate sacrifice made in service to Burnsville. Though we are shaken, we will persevere by supporting one another. Our hearts ache for all affected by this senseless act of violence. We will never forget.
