If you notice a leak coming from around the washing machine, it may not actually be the washing machine. Before calling a repairman. I have a simple test you can do to figure out who to call.

Stick a paper towel into the stand pipe for the drain and run a cycle. If you notice the paper towel is wet after the cycle. You need to call a plumber instead because it is the drain backing up and not the washer leaking.

Sometimes something simple can cause a big issue. if you install a Electric dryer or range make sure you get all your conections nice and tight. vibration over time can overheat and damage the machine if not installed correctly.
