We welcomed Mile 22 Coffee back to our headquarters this week for a second round of delicious drinks.

It was great seeing team members, neighbors, partners and visitors stop by in the morning to say hello.

A big thank you to the Mile 22 team for setting this up and giving us a reason to step outside for a few minutes.

Daylight saving time ends Sunday, November 1, which means it gets dark earlier.

If your lot lights run on a timer, the time change can leave them coming on late, and nobody notices until your team walks out at the end of the day to a dark lot.

Mechanical timers don't adjust on their own. Digital timers do, if they're set up to. A bad photocell or contactor can cause the same problem.

Before November 1, adjust the timer and inspect your exterior lights. Then set a reminder to reset the timer when the clocks go back.

At Suburban, the relationships between our team members and our partners matter as much as the work. Last week we spent a day together at our annual clay shoot.

Safety was our top priority. We kicked off the day with a comprehensive safety briefing before heading to the range for some friendly competition. The afternoon included lunch, lawn games and plenty of time to connect. Congratulations to our top shooters, who took home prizes for their performance!

It was a great day to be out on the course this past Sunday with our team members for our fifth annual golf outing.

Our team members spent an afternoon at our End of Summer Picnic. Burgers, brats and chicken off the grill, a full spread of sides as well as some competitive co****le and ladder ball. We closed the day with a prize raffle.

Nobody schedules downtime for a drive that is still working. Then it fails and you are down two to three weeks instead of two to five days.

Rockwell has discontinued the Kinetix 6000 servo drive. Once your current units fail, replacement parts might not be available.

If you have these drives in your plant, it is better to know now than during a failure. The recommended replacement is the Kinetix 5700 or 5500.

Our Suburban Technology team took a trip to Milwaukee to spend some time with our partners at Axis Communications.

We got to see a wide range of their camera technology up close, everything from wide open outdoor spaces to smaller, detail-focused areas, and learned more about how each one is built to do a different job. It was a great reminder of how much thought goes into keeping a space safe and secure.
