Transparency Builds Trust

People may not like every answer, but they can respect honesty.

Transparency means:
• Communicating truthfully
• Addressing issues directly
• Owning mistakes quickly
• Refusing manipulation and hidden agendas

Trust grows where truth is present.

Healthy organizations and relationships are built on openness, not secrecy.

Scripture — NASB1995
“Therefore, laying aside falsehood, speak truth each one of you with his neighbor, for we are members of one another.”
— Ephesians 4:25

We were created for relationship — first with God, and then with the people He places in our lives. No amount of success, possessions, status, or temporary pleasure will ever fully satisfy the deep need for purpose, belonging, and connection that only God can fulfill.

The Church, as God designed it, is meant to be a place where people grow closer to Him and walk alongside others who are pursuing Him as well. It is not filled with perfect people. There will be struggles, misunderstandings, offense, and moments where the enemy tries to create division and separation. But God is greater than any weakness, failure, or conflict we face.

“and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10‬:‭24‬-‭25‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

When we trust Him and allow Him to work in our hearts, He strengthens us, matures us, and gives us joy, endurance, wisdom, and peace through every trial.

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭10‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

“Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.”
‭‭James‬ ‭1‬:‭2‬-‭4‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

Church is not a country club for people waiting to get to heaven. It is a training ground. It is where we are refined, challenged, equipped, and prepared for spiritual warfare and the calling God has placed on our lives. It is where we learn to become more like Christ, love others well, stand firm in truth, and continue growing in faith no matter the opposition.

Dealing with the world’s label of ADHD, Anxiety, Depression?

Some things to consider working on to help overcome the spiritual attacks and running thoughts that lead to these diagnoses.

Learning to take thoughts captive — and refusing to accept thoughts that are outside of our control, influence, or not aligned by with healthy living, purpose, and God’s direction — has helped me tremendously.

Learning to live in the moment, trust God, rest, and truly be present has been life-changing.

When we constantly think too far into the future about things we cannot control, especially imagined outcomes driven by fear, it creates anxiety.
When we continually look back at the past through guilt, shame, regret, or disappointment, it creates depression.

We have to learn to catch those thoughts before they take root.

For someone with a highly active mind (what the world often labels ADHD), thoughts can spiral quickly if we do not learn how to take authority over our thinking and actions.

Faith and biblical principles have helped me overcome many of these struggles. Learning to rely on God’s strength instead of my own strength has made a huge difference.

The amount of data and information we consume daily — and the type of information we feed on — has a massive impact on this generation.

Constantly comparing ourselves to others instead of simply striving to become better than we were yesterday is dangerous and creates all kinds of unnecessary pressure, insecurity, and confusion.

“Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.”
— Colossians 3:2 NASB1995

“We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.”
— 2 Corinthians 10:5 NASB1995

Clear Expectations Prevent Confusion

Unclear expectations create frustration, inconsistency, and conflict.

People cannot consistently hit standards they do not understand.

Strong leadership communicates:
• What is expected
• Why it matters
• What success looks like
• What accountability will follow

Silence creates assumptions.
Clarity creates alignment.

In business and life, confusion is expensive.

Scripture — NASB1995
“For if the bugle produces an indistinct sound, who will prepare himself for battle?”
— 1 Corinthians 14:8

Integrity Starts When Nobody Is Watching

Integrity is not proven in public moments.
It is proven in private decisions.

• Doing what is right without supervision
• Refusing shortcuts that damage trust
• Staying honest even when dishonesty would be easier

Businesses collapse when integrity is optional.
Families weaken when integrity disappears.
Leadership becomes dangerous when character is missing.

God often tests us in unseen places before promoting us into visible responsibility.

Scripture — NASB1995
“He who walks in integrity walks securely, But he who perverts his ways will be found out.”
— Proverbs 10:9

Everything we have is ultimately God’s.

Our spouse and children. Our skills and knowledge. Our jobs and businesses. Our finances and possessions.

None of it truly belongs to us. We are stewards of what God has entrusted into our hands for His glory, His purpose, and His Kingdom.

When we stop viewing life through the lens of ownership and start viewing it through stewardship, it changes everything. We stop relying on our own strength and begin walking in obedience under God’s power and direction.

Our calling is not to build our own kingdom for comfort, pride, or personal gain. Our calling is to faithfully manage what God has given us in a way that honors Him and impacts others.

“Moreover, it is required of stewards that one be found trustworthy.”— 1 Corinthians 4:2 NASB1995

“The earth is the Lord’s, and all it contains, The world, and those who dwell in it.”— Psalm 24:1 NASB1995

“Commit your works to the Lord And your plans will be established.”— Proverbs 16:3 NASB1995

“When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a noise like a violent rushing wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. And there appeared to them tongues as of fire distributing themselves, and they rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit was giving them utterance.”
— Acts 2:1–4 NASB1995

The Holy Spirit was not given to make believers comfortable — He was given to empower them for obedience, boldness, sacrifice, and the work of the Great Commission.

God does not call us to walk this life in our own strength. The Holy Spirit gives power to overcome darkness, endure trials, speak truth, and be used for the purposes of God in the earth.

Too many believers are trying to fight spiritual battles while running on empty. We were never meant to operate apart from the power and leading of the Holy Spirit.

The same Spirit poured out at Pentecost is still moving today:
• To convict
• To refine
• To strengthen
• To equip
• To send believers into a dark world carrying the light of Christ

We do not need more religion without power. We need hearts surrendered to God and lives filled with the Holy Spirit.
