Embryo biopsy samples for preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) collected at a fertility facility are generally frozen to -20°C (-4°F) after collection and need to arrive frozen below 0°C (32°F) at a diagnostic laboratory. The use of frozen cold packs can increase the risk of specimens thawing before arrival and dry ice being too cold.

At Akuratemp, we have developed a multi-use parcel shipper to transport embryo biopsy samples from the fertility center to the genetic testing laboratory for preimplantation genetic testing (PGT). Our goal is to minimize the risk of temperature excursion-related rejection of specimens during transportation.
