Update: The scale has been repaired we are open at full capacity on Monday.

March 7th, 2026.

We are open today 8am-1pm.

However, our large ground scale is down, we believe it was struck by lightening. We have a call in for an urgent repair.

For today we are unable to weigh in vehicles, farm machinery, construction debris, etc.

Small loads of aluminum, copper, etc. we can still accommodate.

We will post an update about Monday as soon as we know more.

🔍 CESA 3 is honored to highlight youth apprentices from the 36 school districts in our consortium. The Youth Apprenticeship program allows students the opportunity to gain work-based learning experience and build career-ready skills.

🙌 Today we celebrate Jayden Gauger of River Valley School District!

💭 What inspired you to pursue a Youth Apprenticeship in your career field? What inspired me to pursue a Youth Apprenticeship in this career field was that it is a family business, Gauger & Son Salvage, Inc. My Grandpa Bill started this business with my grandma, and my father will take it over, and someday I will own it and run it. So this had always been my dream to own it and work there.

🤝 How has your Youth Apprenticeship experience helped you connect what you’re learning in the classroom to real-world work? My Youth Apprenticeship experience has helped me connect to what I have learned by making me realize how important natural resources are, and how my recycling can help keep these natural resources better and to last longer.

♻ What skills have you gained that you feel will matter most in your future career? My future career is the career for which I am doing a Youth Apprenticeship, so everything I have been learning will help me in the future. This career I have been exposed to my whole life so it is interesting that I have a passion for it so it never feels like work when I am learning new tools or tasks.

🗣 What advice would you give to other students in Southwest Wisconsin who are considering joining a Youth Apprenticeship Program? That they should join a Youth Apprenticeship. I feel like this program helps you get real work experience while still being in school. Also, it will help you get out and explore new career options instead of doing that when you are out of high school.
