We know that building strong communities starts with spending time together. This summer, our teams and their families came together for BBQ, baseball, and plenty of time to connect outside of work.

From the Jersey Shore BlueClaws to the Sussex County Miners and Somerset Patriots, these events gave our people an opportunity to enjoy a meal, cheer on the home team, and make memories with coworkers and family.

Ever wonder how great ideas move from the office to the operation?

It starts with a Gemba Walk.

"Gemba" is a Japanese term meaning "the real place"—the place where work happens. A Gemba Walk brings leaders and team members into the field to observe processes firsthand, ask questions, learn from one another, and identify opportunities to improve together.

Last week, our Texas team completed its first Gemba Walk, taking another step in strengthening how we collaborate across teams and continuously improve the way we work. By seeing challenges firsthand and learning directly from our people, we're building solutions that are practical, innovative, and driven by those closest to the work.
