A huge thank you to the Bennington Banner for this article on celebrating over 100 years of service! Reminder the carnival and celebration begins tomorrow and goes through Saturday night at 9:30 when we celebrate with fireworks so we hope to see you there!

This Morning @11:02 hrs Arlington Fire was dispatched to set up a landing zone for Arlington Rescue on US-7. All Arlington units were clear and back in service @11:50 hrs

Today @13:39 hrs Arlington Fire was toned out to a working structure fire in the Manchester fire district. Upon arrival Arlington units were tasked with setting ground ladders and fire attack on the second floor. All Arlington units were clear and back in service @18:20 hrs

Today was a long day for our team. We responded to a fuel truck rollover incident. Upon arrival, we found the tank leaking and discharging into the culvert. We managed to contain the spill by damming it, preventing further pollution of the brook and Battenkill. Manchester Fire was asked to provide supplemental hazmat resources while we waited for the State Hazmat Team to arrive. We recovered about 100 gallons of fuel that had spilled. The State Hazmat Team successfully transferred the remaining 2300 gallons into another fuel truck before extracting the vehicle from the ditch. Great work by all involved. We are grateful to Shaftsbury Fire for standing by while we were occupied for most of the day.
