From deploying 10 adaptive sports coaches to support Marine Corps athletes across multiple events to connecting hundreds of attendees with education and employment resources through the Education and Employment Initiative (E2I) and Operation Warfighter (OWF), our team was proud to help advance recovery, resilience, and successful transitions for those who have served!

A Magellan Federal Employee Assistance Program (EAP) counselor recently supported a federal employee facing a personal crisis that was affecting their wellbeing and work. Recognizing the need for immediate assistance, the counselor coordinated with available resources, connected the individual with appropriate care options, and helped ensure support from their personal network. The counselor remained engaged throughout the process to help facilitate a smooth transition to professional care and remind the individual that help is available 24/7.

Supporting Air Force civilian employees across Europe requires more than traditional Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services. Two Magellan Federal EAP Field Consultants collaborate across countries to address the distinct challenges faced by employees working overseas, including local national staff who make up a significant portion of the workforce.

These professionals provide both in-person and virtual support across multiple countries, helping employees navigate healthcare systems that differ vastly from those in the United States. Wait times, language barriers, and limited access to resources mean EAP becomes a critical lifeline. The consultants develop cultural competency to bridge gaps with local national employees, and they create monthly webinars tailored to European time zones and community-specific trends.
