President Trump, the 119th Congress, and state legislators have taken office at a time when the U.S. is at a pivotal moment for technology innovation and adoption.

Autonomous technologies and uncrewed aircraft systems are already unlocking significant benefits in both safety and technological leadership.

Regulators and lawmakers at all levels of government have the potential to influence the United States’ leadership in these key areas.

What we're up to: This week, AUVSI hosted a virtual dialogue and Q&A session on, "Supporting drone competitiveness for public safety missions," featuring a wide variety of viewpoints from the UAS community.

Our perspective: We have been actively listening to our community as a whole, and we understand there are questions about our coalitions and initiatives. This week's webinar was the first in a series of opportunities for us to engage with our community, clarify where we're come from, and describe our goals.

The bottom line: AUVSI’s goal is to support the development of a robust domestic base of affordable, capable, and reliable drone options for all users. We want to proactively encourage investments in and scaled production from U.S. drone manufacturers by advocating for grant programs and funding initiatives.

What's at stake: Multiple U.S. government agencies have warned that U.S. reliance on unsecure, foreign-domiciled UAS pose a risk to first responders' critical operations.

We are calling on U.S. lawmakers to take measured actions to strengthen the U.S. drone industry.

Why? Chinese drone companies receive subsidies from the CCP to artificially deflate the prices of their drones.
→ The result is that China has created a global monopoly that allows it to distort U.S. markets in favor of Chinese drones, stifle fair competition, and inhibit new entrants.

Why does it matter to lawmakers?
→ U.S. drone companies are committed to investing in America and American workers. With domestic production increasing year over year, American drones are more price competitive and technologically advanced than ever.

Why does it matter for the domestic drone industry?
→ Domestic drone products are more cyber secure, reduce dependence on foreign supply chains, and allow the U.S. to reposition itself as the global leader in advanced aviation.

Going into 2024, we're optimistic about the future of the U.S. industry.

Why? Lawmakers have begun to wake up to the critical importance of supporting U.S. manufacturing, innovation, and aviation leadership.

We am betting on the US industry and betting on US manufacturers, and in a short time we will again be the world leader in this area. Drone Radio Show
