We hate to be a buzzkill, but the world has one less party trick since Howard’s wound started healing.😅🐟
Having spent years with a large chronic wound on his calf with extreme undermining, he had become accustomed to making light of the situation, before switching to the care of Candi Spear, NP at Grand River Health. After she utilized our grafts to pack into undermining areas before aiming to achieve closure, Howard’s now nearly finished with a recovery that's been months in the making.

Kenneth’s remarkable recovery didn’t surprise just him, it shocked his whole care team! 🧑‍⚕️🐟
After a fall he struggled to get up from, Kenneth developed a large eschar with pressure necrosis over his left knee. Realizing that the wound required immediate intervention, Dr. Atif Baqai introduced Kenneth and his son, Fernando, to us, having seen promising results in other hard-to-heal wounds.

Today, Kenneth is back on his feet and working towards his next milestone - keeping up with his grandson!

After our forward-deployed products were exhausted to support Crans-Montana victims, our team in Isafjordur jumped into action to produce enough grafts to treat all of Dr. De Buys Roessingh and Dr. Al Dourobi’s patients.

Enlisting help from the Icelandic Coast Guard to get our products to Switzerland as quickly as possible, we were able to shave weeks off our typical delivery time, getting them grafts in just seven days.

We can’t control tragedies, only how we respond to them.
After a New Year’s Eve fire in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, resulted in more than 100 people with severe burns, our forward-deployed product stock of grafts was immediately depleted.

That’s when our manufacturing team in Isafjordur jumped into action, creating more fish-skin grafts for patients in need. Crunching what’s typically a weeks-long process into just seven days, we were able to provide enough grafts for all of Dr. De Buys Roessingh and Dr. Al Dourobi’s patients.

Our support for Crans-Montana victims started with just a few phone calls.
Early on New Year’s morning, we got word of the Crans-Montana tragedy that left over 100 injured and claimed 41 young lives. Meanwhile at CHUV in Lausanne, Prof. De Buys Roessingh and Dr. Al Dourobi were already leading an extraordinary emergency response.

When our forward-deployed burn inventory was immediately depleted and the need for advanced burn-care solutions surged, we took an unprecedented, compassionate step to provide care where it was needed most.

We gave the Stantons a first-rate fish skin education – what would they tell you about Kerecis?
Having seen the benefits of Kerecis first-hand on their riding donkey Parker, we invited them in to learn the science behind our products.
