A breathing rate reading is only as useful as the method behind it.

CTA's standard, CTA-2102.1, Performance Criteria and Testing Protocols for Breathing Rate – Real-World Analysis, gives the consumer health technology industry a shared way to measure and validate breathing rate — across devices, across conditions, in the lab and in everyday life.

The result: more reliable data, stronger validation and greater confidence in the digital health devices people use for wellness and clinical insight.

Autonomous Vehicle Day is Sunday — and CTA is spotlighting members rewriting what transportation looks like.

Last month at CES On the Hill, members of Congress got hands-on with the future of mobility — Tesla's Cybercab, Waymo's Waymo Driver, zoox's fully autonomous all-electric robotaxi and Brunswick Corporation's assisted-autonomous docking system. Hands-on innovation. Real-world progress.

That's what CTA members do.

What are U.S. households actually planning to buy next year?

Our 2026 U.S. Consumer Technology Ownership & Market Potential Study has the answer — across 73 products and 10 categories. Among the findings: four of the five fastest-growing products are smart home devices, and most planned buyers of outdoor maintenance robots and portable electric power stations are entering those categories for the first time.

Often, the real value of membership comes from being part of the conversations that matter.

CTA member groups bring together leaders from across the U.S. and the global consumer technology industry around shared interests, business priorities and the issues shaping the market. They create space to exchange perspective, contribute to industry-facing efforts and stay connected to the trends influencing business worldwide.

Through member groups, CTA members can build relationships, engage in research and promotional opportunities and stay closer to the conversations that can help inform strategy and strengthen market relevance.

This is where membership becomes more than access. It becomes a more strategic way to engage with the industry, expand your perspective and show up where business conversations are already happening.

Get more from your CTA membership through member groups aligned with your interests, business priorities and industry engagement.
