The Arnold Recreation Area is more than a great place to camp and enjoy the outdoors. 🏕 It's an economic asset that brings visitors to our little corner of Nebraska. And the economic impact doesn't stop at the campground. Every camper who fills up with gas, picks up groceries and supplies, enjoys a meal at a local restaurant, or shops at one of our businesses helps support our local economy. ⛽🛍🍽 Those additional dollars benefit our businesses and help keep our community thriving.

We're fortunate to have the Arnold Recreation Area right here in our backyard—not only for our own enjoyment, but also for the visitors and economic opportunities it brings to our community.

A big thank you to the Village of Arnold, local organizations, volunteers, and residents who take pride in our parks and work to keep them looking their best. ✨ Your efforts help make Arnold a welcoming place for residents and visitors alike! 🫶

👀 PLEASE READ!! Exciting improvements are coming to downtown Arnold! 🤩 The Sidewalk Improvement Project is expected to begin Tuesday, September 15, on the east side of the 100 block of South Walnut Street.

These new sidewalks will not only improve safety and accessibility for people of all ages, but also beautify our downtown and create a more welcoming, inviting business district for residents and visitors alike. ✨ It’s an investment in the heart of our community that we’re excited to see come to fruition.

Here’s what you need to know:

⚠️ South Walnut will be ONE-WAY TRAFFIC ONLY through the 100 block. Enter from the north/highway and travel south. DO NOT ENTER FROM THE SOUTH.
⚠️ Parking on this block will be limited to the west side of the street. Additional parking is available on the east-west streets and just north and south of the block.
⚠️ Downtown businesses will remain OPEN! Temporary access will be provided so customers can continue entering businesses on the east side during construction.

Please continue to shop and support our downtown businesses during the project! These businesses are not only working through the inconvenience of construction, but are also taking on additional expenses to help make these sidewalk improvements possible. 🚧🫶

The AEDC would like to express a special THANK YOU to these businesses for their cooperation, patience, and investment in helping make our downtown safer, more attractive, and welcoming for everyone. ❤️

Weather permitting, the project is expected to take a couple of weeks, and everyone involved will be working to complete it as quickly as possible so we can get back to business as usual.

📣 Calling all mom entrepreneurs! If you’re a mom growing a business, here’s a grant opportunity worth checking out! The 2026 High Five Grant for Moms from The Mama Ladder is designed to help mom-owned businesses take their next step toward growth with grants from $1,000 to $10,000.

Eligibility requirements:

✅ You ARE A MOM! This grant is exclusively for women caregivers with human child(ren) of all ages. Your children are adults? “Once a mom, always a mom.” This grant also welcomes first-time expecting moms, stepmoms, and foster moms.
✅ You own at least 50% of a for-profit product or service-based business and are serious about growth.
✅ You can verify earning business revenue in the past 12 months, between $10,000 to $500,000 annual revenue.
✅ Your business is headquartered in the United States or Canada.
