With freezing temps like these not seen in almost 10 years and having frost quakes, at start up, please have your new company do a static pressure test on your system. This only takes a minute or less to accomplish and with no specialized equipment, so no excuses..😒 Older systems can be effected by these frost quakes as well as newer systems. If it can break concrete, it can break pvc pipe. Also check on any leaking backflows, as this will definitely destroy the main component of your system. Residential or Commercial it doesn't matter. I wanted to let you all know, this year will be my last year doing irrigation full time.

The main reason lies in an accident I was involved in about 8 years ago. In 2022 my back was hurting alot more than usual, another x-ray found that I had fractures in two of my lower vertebrae. They are healed fine, but we believe the repair is pushing against my spinal cord giving me the Sciatic like issues along with numbing of my feet & legs.

I have to drop 80% of my business. I will and can only handle 50-80 clients this year, compared with almost 350 in 2022.

This is not an April fools or any type of joke. I can still supervise, assist, give advice etc..

Quick tip: The only concern I have right now is your backflow. Go to home depot buy some heat tape you only need about 6', Do you like the instructions say plug it in cover it with a blanket and you're good to go until I can get there.

1. If you go to bed at night at around 9 or 10 and the temperatures are between 40 and 50ﾟ please there should be no issue with your irrigation back flow freezing.

2. If you go to bed at night at around 9 or 10 and the temperatures are 30ﾟ or lower you have an issue that you are going to have with your irrigation.

3. There are no concerns with the pipes underground they will take time to freeze only after the ground has frozen so typically they will be fine until January depending on our temperatures.

Everyone realize we're only 60 days or 8 and a 1/2 weeks away from starting to winterize because that's when falls going to get here.
12 weeks until Halloween 16 weeks until Thanksgiving and 20 weeks until Christmas And only 2 and a 1/2 years until somebody's out of office

You can see a scalped lawn compared to a properly cut lawn. Both cut the same day.
Scalped lawn: puts grass into emergency mode and will put all energy into growing leaves.
Drys ground quicker, stresses plant, exposes ground to light germinating w**d seeds, possible erosion, looks crappy.
