UPDATE on 3/25/26:
The Artesia Police Department reports that Patricia Leon has been located safely and the investigation of a missing person is closed.
Police are still actively searching for Martin Madrid, who remains wanted with additional charges pending. Authorities warn that Madrid should be considered armed and dangerous and advise the public not to approach him.
The black Dodge Charger is no longer a vehicle of interest. Anyone with information regarding Martin Madrid’s whereabouts is urged to contact law enforcement immediately.

The Artesia Police Department is actively searching for a 35‑year‑old Patricia Leon, who was last seen on March 19, 2026, at approximately 9:30 PM.
At this time, it is believed she may be in the company of a wanted subject, Martin Madrid, who is known to be driving a black Dodge Charger (NM License Plate # CGGM78).
⚠️ If you see her, Martin Madrid, or the described vehicle, DO NOT attempt to make contact.

The Artesia Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a 35‑year‑old female, Patricia Leon, who was last seen on March 19, 2026, at approximately 9:30 PM.
At this time, this is not being classified as a missing person case. Law enforcement is asking anyone who may have seen or had contact with her since that time to come forward.
