Your Emergency Gasket Decision Tree
For upstream crews in the Permian
Saturday night something pops. By Monday you either restart or bleed.
Step 1. Name the leak
- Hot fl**ge. RTJ groove. Exchanger bundle. Valve bonnet.
Step 2. Clock the spec
- Size. Class. Media. Temp. Alloy if required. If you are guessing send a photo with a tape.
Step 3. Choose the path
- Soft cut today for a clean restart
- Spiral wounds with graphite for heat and pressure
- RTJ rings cut to size when grooves are chewed
- Monel when the spec demands it
Step 4. Set the timer
- Down four hours
- Sunday delivery window
- Midnight crew handoff
We cut and deliver same day on most profiles. We quarterback specialty rings and alloys through our network and keep you updated by text until it hits your deck. One point of contact. Real time updates.
Last month a Permian workover crew was back online before shift change using this exact play. Fewer calls. Zero guesswork.
If you want the printable version comment “Decision Tree” and I will DM the one page.
Equipment failures do not keep business hours. Neither do we.
