Meet your photographer Monday!
- I haven't done this in a very long time, so figured now is a great time to reintroduce myself to you!
I have always said I started photography in high school- senior year, when my ligament injuries forced me to quit sports I picked up the camera to stay connected with my teams, then the rest was history. Hoooowwwevvvver I recently remembered, I did photography in 4-H growing up and fell in love then, and THAT'S why I had hope when I picked it back up in high school. That was fun to remember!
I also went and completed an Associates Degree in Creative Media & Design, in high school. Within that I learned film, photography, editing programs, and graphic design. At the time, I had zero idea photography would end up being my career. I was still headed to NMSU to attain a speech pathology or teaching degree. Which I guess if you look at it, I am using all my schooling for all my "careers" technically. 😂
A few facts about me :
• I love being outside from gardening, hiking, or camping
• I have tattoos but not near enough
• I don't know if I love coffee like I use to anymore and that's a little sad, kinda
• I will drink 738292 energy drinks before I drink enough water for the day, working on that 🤪
• I have 3 daughters
• I homeschool said daughters and it's the best part of my life
• my husband cooks the most in our house
• I have a super weird, very dangerous obsession with Tabasco
• I love my doggies
• I'm scared of the dark
• I also can't see in the dark
• I SUCK at technology
• I am from the Hatch valley, grew up mostly here in Artesia - my heart craves to live elsewhere though.
•I do not like to fish or hunt despite that's all I grew up around from all sides
• I also don't like football, like at all
• I do love me some baseball / softball
• I second guess my photography 80x a day
• I also second guess my sanity 85x a day but that's a story for another day
My favorite parts about my "job" are making people cry with their galleries - so please always tell me! && I love hearing "we have never been here" when I take clients to certain locations like White Sands, Bottomless Lakes, Cloudcroft, etc. I love showing people the world outside!
I am back from vacation and back into the "office" today and ready to get creative with you! I am pumped and inspired after a well deserved break. I will get to messages shortly and post availability soon!
Did you know my office is a closet in our homeschool room? 😆🤪😂 also working on that.
