A first for QMII and for the U.S. passenger vessel industry. 🚢

The Passenger Vessel Association (PVA) approved QMII as the first Recognized Flagship Organization (RFO) for its new Flagship Safety Management System, a voluntary safety program built for U.S. passenger vessel operators.

Recently, we hit the next major milestone: our very first client seeking certification under the new program.

🎉 40 years of QMII!

This week our team celebrated four decades of teaching, learning, and helping organizations build systems that work.

When we look back, we think about the people: the thousands who came through a QMII class and left able to audit, improve, and lead. Watching that happen is what's kept us going.

Does attending virtually affect the certificate you receive?

The certificate is based on successful completion of the course requirements in either of QMII’s live formats.

Participants can attend in person or join a scheduled, instructor-led virtual classroom. Both options include instruction, workshops, interaction with the instructor and required assessments.

Choose the setting that best supports how you learn and participate:

• In person for face-to-face discussion and classroom exercises

• Live virtual for instructor-led training without the travel

The virtual option follows a live class schedule with the instructor and other participants.

ISO training has a reputation for being dry. A good instructor makes the requirements easier to understand by connecting them to situations participants may encounter in their own work.

After completing QMII’s ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Training, Leslie shared:
