The insurance companies setting your reimbursement rates are the same ones who funded the platform you practice on.

That’s not a conspiracy — it’s in public funding announcements. Optum and Cigna invested in Alma. Blue Cross Blue Shield is Headway’s lead funder. Why would Google & Amazon be so interested when their primary currency is personal data? Because privacy laws aren’t being heeded.

These platforms control your client flow, your billing, and your insurance contracts. When the investor and the rate-setter are the same company, the platform isn’t negotiating for you. It’s managing you on their behalf.

Niches are the foundation of every marketing plan. And you’re unlikely to have a full, fulfilling practice if you aren’t marketing.

If you don’t have a solid foundation for your marketing strategy, you either don’t build it all or you build very, very slowly.
