Most of the time when I hit a nail it cuts straight through it, but every now and then the saw will pull it out and wrap it around the saw.

Been turning wrenches the last couple days. The drive sprockets for the carriage wore out and the only way to replace them is to remove the whole cable drum.

This week at the mill we have been sawing a few different hardwood orders, and winter finally decided to show up here in WNC so all the logs are frozen which makes them harder to saw. This was the last log and it’s was a 30” black oak. The customer wanted these logs sawed into 4/4 grade lumber for flooring. Check out the full video on the Sunrise Sawmill YouTube channel.
