Optimal Outcomes is pleased to offer a delightfully refreshing positive Team Building experience centered around painting. This one-of-a-kind teaming program is provided by an irreplaceable, seasoned facilitator using acrylic painting in simple and surprising ways to build successful teams. Making art is about making choices and a perfect demonstration tool. It requires the participant to think, t
o recognize and utilize resources, to problem-solve, to appreciate differences, to adapt, to perceive, to consider, to create, to compare, to engage, to persevere – just like participation on a strong team. One small painting will be created individually, and one large painting will be created collaboratively by the entire group. During this fun, thought-provoking team experience, there is also another surprising tool that is used for demonstration -- a dog! Ten year old Australian Shepherd Tank knows over 300 words and will blink on command. Dog training is also an excellent example of team building. Mini demonstrations will be interjected throughout the painting process –using the human/dog team as an example of communication, positive reinforcement, recognition and reward. Storytelling and humor are splashed into the mix-- rounding out an energetic team building program in a tremendously positive environment. Workshop Outcomes:
This challenging event requires team members to step out of their comfort zones, work with limitations, become aware of their own-- and others-- learning and working styles, collaborate on multiple levels, take risks, move forward confidently, quickly formulate solutions, use visual cues, work under pressure, look for the best in their teammates, eliminate limited thinking, engage creatively and assure the success of their teammates. This hands-on, interactive program gets teams working at their best—when the individual teammates are strong and confident in their own abilities and skills. Additional outcomes of this experience include participants increased understanding that problems have more than one solution, small difference can have large effects, and that language is just one way of communicating. Participants will also demonstrate an increased ability and willingness to work with unanticipated possibilities, improved participation, more effective communication, and an improved ability to collaborate and coordinate.
