Politics has officially gone to the dogs. And cats.

When a customer asked me to make a campaign sign for Tico, who is apparently running for Tax Collector of Murdock Avenue, I was delighted to oblige. His platform? Small dog. Big plans. Fair taxes.

Well, apparently the neighborhood has caught election fever! Tico now faces some stiff competition from Pockets, who's running for Sheriff on a platform of treats, justice, and zoomies, and Boo Boo McCool, who's promising to Make America Nap Again.

Frankly, I'm finding these candidates remarkably refreshing. Their platforms are straightforward, their campaign promises are reasonable, and I'm fairly certain none of them has a secret offshore bank account.

Best of all, the whole neighborhood is getting in on the fun! Who says politics has to be ugly? Sometimes all it takes is a little humor, a few yard signs, and some four-legged candidates to remind us that we can still laugh together.

We installed "etched glass" window vinyl in the entire door and then added printed, laminated and contour-cut blue vinyl over that. Some things the camera just can't catch - it looks AMAZING in person. The etched glass vinyl makes the blue look metallic. The brain plays tricks sometimes, this is definitely one of those moments.

White Squirrel Kitchens is a plant-based foods company based in Asheville, North Carolina. They specialize in delicious, quality plant-based cheeses and charcuterie that are 100% vegan, soy-free, and gluten-free. Their products are hand made in small batches using only the best ingredients. TT gave us a wedge of "Aged Cumin Kaas" which is the closest thing he has to gouda (after asking my favorite) and let me tell you, it's fabulous!

Cashews and almonds make up 90% of the ingredients, and aged just like traditional cheeses to support the fermentation process. Their cheeses are aged anywhere from 14 days to two months, depending on the variety. Look for their products at your favorite local heath food stores, including the Farmers Market in the River Arts District, Earth Fare, and the North Asheville Tailgate Market.

Well, it’s a good thing this yard sign we made for Shiloh Roofing isn’t advertising a lawn mowing company… because somebody would have some explaining to do!

And what a great design. So eye-catching. We’d love to take credit for it, but the artwork was supplied by our customer. We just brought it to life!

And check out that QR code! One quick scan takes potential customers straight from the front lawn to the business. No typing, no searching, no excuses.

Great design. Smart marketing. Beautiful sign. Questionable lawn maintenance.

I LOVE MY HP PRINTER.

Here she is, faithfully cranking out 500+ decals in one glorious run! No complaints, no coffee breaks, no asking if it’s Friday yet.

Once the printing is finished, these beauties will be laminated for protection and then contour cut into their final shapes.

Maybe I’m just a sign geek, but watching this magnificent machine do its thing thrills me to my very soul.

Some people watch sunsets. Some people watch waterfalls.

I watch my printer.

Now THAT’S a restoration!
This sandblasted wood sign for White Oak Veterinary Hospital had seen better days. Years of weather and neglect left it covered in lichens, badly split, with pieces of the carved lettering missing and the old vinyl artwork cracked and peeling.
We brought it back to the shop, cleaned it, rebuilt the damaged areas with epoxy, filled the cracks, sanded, primed—and primed some more. Then we hand-matched the original logo colors and recreated the dog and cat artwork with paint instead of vinyl.
Eight paint colors later, she’s back! And you definitely can’t miss her while driving north on Hendersonville Road in Fletcher.
Sometimes an old sign doesn’t need replacing. It just needs a little love—and a whole lot of work. 😁

I had the pleasure of visiting Claudia Haun of Asheville this morning at the Art in Autumn festival in Weaverville, NC, where she was showing her beautiful ceramic work.

Claudia recently taught a class at Maxwell Studio, sharing some of her wonderful underglaze techniques and the inspiration she draws from waves, sand and tides from her time on the Chesapeake Bay. Her work is incredibly distinctive - organic, intricate and unmistakably her own.

We were delighted to make the banner for Claudia's festival booth, featuring one of her signature carved motifs. And I can personally attest that the banner does its job — I spotted her immediately!

There’s something especially satisfying about making a sign for another artist: the sign shouldn't compete with the work, it should feel like it belongs with it. Seeing Claudia's banner hanging above all that gorgeous pottery this morning made my day.

We recently completed a sign package for a new business, Blue Ridge Longevity in North Asheville!

Blue Ridge Longevity is a health and wellness practice focused on preventive medicine, healthy aging, and optimizing healthspan - and we were proud to help give their location a polished, professional look.

For this project, we:

* Installed a new wall sign, routed into a precise circular shape and mounted with a French cleat for a clean, secure finish.
* Installed new monument sign inserts to update their roadside presence.
* Produced the graphics using digitally printed, matte-laminated vinyl applied to durable aluminum composite material.

The combination of crisp graphics, a matte finish, and durable aluminum composite creates a clean, professional look that fits beautifully with the Blue Ridge Longevity brand.
