🐟 Water Science Conference was held in Saint Paul, MN from June 24-27th, 2024.

🐟 The theme was “Catalyzing Collaborations” and it was sponsored by the American Geophysical Union (AGU)

🐟 The plenary panel I spoke on was called “First We Must Consider Manoomin/Psiŋ: A Conversation on Tribal-University Collaborative Research around Wild Rice”

🌟 Project Spotlight: Anaamaagon: Under the Snow 🌟

We are excited to spotlight our project with the Cable Natural History Museum on their latest exhibit, Anaamaagon: Under the Snow! 🐾❄️

This immersive experience invites visitors to enter a hidden realm where mice play, weasels hunt, and life depends on deep snow. The drifts may look deserted, but dive down and you’ll be amazed by the way little lives thrive in winter. 🌨️🦡🐁

Good Sky Guidance had the honor of integrating Ojibwe knowledge and teaching methods into this exhibit, enriching the narrative with Indigenous perspectives. Emily Stone, Naturalist/Education Director at the Cable Natural History Museum said that our participation “brought new perspectives to our work and made the end product much richer than we could have accomplished without his collaboration.”
