It's the dawning of a new chapter in my life. Many of you know that Em succumbed to the incurable cancer she was battling and passed away in early February. Try as I did, I just couldn’t keep working to the best of my ability. I’ve taken the bold step to confront my belief that I can't continue to work without Em.

I've sold All Signs and Graphics to a reliable and very competent long time colleague. I have no doubts that Erik Turrey will serve our clients and the community in a highly professional way. I am very proud of the positive contributions Em and I made to our community. We never compromised on our effort or quality. Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years. We both deeply appreciated the trust and loyalty you held for us. The kindness and generosity of spirit so many showered us with will never be forgotten.

To my many loved ones all over the country, I will be on your doorsteps soon for a visit.

I may not have the knees, back or stamina of the 18 year old young man who began learning the craft trade of sign painting on January 2nd, 1980, but I still love doing it. My friends at entrusted me to paint their logo on the facade of Atascadero's newest lounge and live music venue. I look forward to enjoying this new spot and making more friends and memories.

Dear friends, colleagues and loved ones. On Thursday night as I leaned over to give Em a good night kiss for probably the 16,000th time in over the 45 amazing years together, she quietly, painlessly and peacefully took her last breath. Her courageous, three year battle with an incurable form of ovarian cancer is over.

Em was everything so many of you have experienced and more. The real deal. Kind, humble, always exceeding expectations.
