He was so enticed by the outing that he started his training, and received his private and commercial licenses within 21 months. After attending Evan’s Spray School in Slayton, TX, he returned to

Saint Joseph, MO. He bought his first plane and modified it by placing a surplus World War II tank engine inside. In our first year of business, we only had 19 customers. So many things have changed in 40 years -- there are new chemicals on the market, the airplanes are bigger and fly faster. Our business is growing every year. We attribute this to our down-to-earth demeanor and old-fashioned values. Come meet the guys and gal at McElwain Sprayers! We can assure you that no matter your aerial application need, we can get the job done. We look forward to serving you!

Locally owned since 1974, McElwain Sprayers was founded by Floyd McElwain and is now owned and operated by Russ McElwain, continuing a legacy of dependable service to the agricultural community.
