Dr. Christopher Hoy will be offering his years of experience in medicine to answer individual questions about navigating the healthcare system. He’ll also address the larger question of how our system works now, and what it could look like in the future.

Dr. Hoy’s dedication is to see that every person in the North Country gets the medical care they need, when they need it. If there’s a personal question that he can’t answer during our forum, he’ll take the person’s contact information and get back to them in the days following.

Hands down my favorite movie of all times is It’s A Wonderful Life, I’m sure seen by most of you, it is one of these themes that reminds us the most important things in our lives pale when compared to the human connection. I have walked the earth for 77 years and have encountered untold thousands of people from all walks of life. I received in the mail the other day a small package that contained a note that reminded me the power of influence I have with the people who have touched my life all these years, most of which I’m totally unaware how our brief meeting meant to them, I do hope it had a profound effect on their lives, but I’m sure that because I’m a human some may have not, these reminders have a purpose for all of us to choose wisely how we interact and once a crossword is spoken, like a pebble dropped into water the ripples spread in all directions, never to be taken back. We are coming up on 911, this touched so many of us. It continues to bring grief as love ones struggle with questions of why and the empty seats at their tables, many are still having to deal with sickness from this awful day. If there is silver lining in this dark cloud of that day is the unselfishness towards our fellow Americans, not since the dark days of WW2 have we pulled together for the common good. Spoken many times and rings true today we as Americans are at our very best when thing are at their worst. 77 years barely would move the needle on the time scale of the earth; it is however enough time to do whatever good I can. Have a good day till next time.
