Hey Friends and Family, some of you already know I have been performing credit improvement services for years. Now that I have perfected the process and success rate, I am happy to announce I have decided to fully add Credit Solutions as an additional service to my business.

As a Consumer Finance Branch Manager with underwriting responsibilities, I analyzed thousands of credit reports and applications, many of them I had to decline. After the credit application was denied, the applicant wanted to know why. I wanted so badly to tell them in full detail why their application was declined but I was only permitted to say, “a denial letter will come in the mail explaining the reason for our decision”.

I tried to make up for it by helping who I could; friends, family, business clients, car dealership customers and potential homebuyers. Recently and steadily over the last 8 mos. there has been a significant increase in delinquent accounts, repossessions, judgments, and application denials.

The Legacy Museum is one of those places that takes your breathe away. I literally had to tell myself to breathe a few times. Its like I was frozen at every turn, and I needed a minute to process my feelings. The emotion provoking displays make the history that much more real. I learned more than I knew there was to learn and I felt more than I thought I could feel for people I do not know. As a black woman I realized my name could have easily been on one of those pillars, and furthermore not knowing if anyone of those names were my ancestors was painful. But I came out of there so grateful that someone gave us a place to learn on our terms from our own voices.

If you haven't been, put it on your list. They have even built a bigger better since I was there so I will be back to see it.

FACT: There are over 41 million African Americans in the United States. However our businesses can only hire 1.2 million of them. This is not a statistic to cause shame but to raise awareness so we can work on change. We need to be able to take care of ourselves. As a black owner I want to do my part to change this number. Hopefully you will too.

Most successful people will tell you they are always learning. Always seeking out ways to improve themselves. Whether it is evolving their mindsets, changing environments to facilitate positivity or acquiring new skills. They think with a consistently improving mindset.

Daymond John is a go getter, his eyes are wide open to opportunities. He structures his day around maximizing productivity. Rise and Grind was excellent for me in encouraging a mindset shift for really pushing myself everyday for the life that I want. One change in thinking involved not being afraid to fail. Looking at failure as the best learning opportunity the world can offer.
