Reflecting on last weekend as I go into the last few days of Women’s History Month! I’ve been discussing the TEDxMorganSt.Women - All Of Her event throughout the week. The event featured brilliant and insightful stories from women leaders across various disciplines and perspectives. Some events not only fill your cup but also shift your perspective on what is possible, and this was one of those experiences.

A special mention to
her impactful talk on Medical Gaslighting from both patient and physician viewpoints. It was wonderful to reconnect!

I also had the pleasure of reconnecting with remarkable women who are doing incredible work. .ashleygaddyrobbins

We’ve mastered showing up.
Even when our bodies are asking us to slow down.
Even when systems weren’t built with us in mind.
I created this space because I know what it feels like to navigate ambition, leadership, and chronic illness at the same time.
I also know we deserve more than survival.
We deserve support, access, and the freedom to build careers that honor our full lives.
If that resonates, you’re in the right place.

I’m presenting this year at one of my favorite events - Equity in GI Conference!

The 2025 theme is based on A Different World and we have a great line up of speakers! I’m honored to join my girl on her panel Ostomy 101 and I’m honored to lead the discussion with her and Dr. Nathalie, a licensed therapist to discuss ways to make space for gratitude & grief while navigating a chronic illness and life altering surgeries.

What is Equity In GI?!?
Culturally relevant programming ✅
Research, education and advocacy ✅
Community that feels like family (we actually yell “cousin” when we see each other 😂) ✅

The space where providers, researchers, patients and caregivers come together to learn, heal & be in this GI thing together!

It’s not too late to join me in person or virtually! Learn more at colorofgi.org

World Ostomy Day 2024 was filled with joy and reflection! I’m proud of where I am in my journey to self-love and confidence. I’m open about my journey so hopefully it shows others that ostomies are life savers 💜. Hug someone with an ostomy all October 💜

Thank you to for highlighting my article about my journey to self care and acceptance with an ostomy.
