This month on The Social, meet Sad Girls Club 💙
Founded in 2017 by Elyse Fox after sharing her own mental health journey and recognizing a critical gap in care, Sad Girls Club is redefining what accessible, culturally relevant mental health support looks like.

While only 1 in 3 Black Americans who need mental health care receive it, the nonprofit is creating spaces where healing, community, and care are more accessible.

From providing therapy scholarships, free virtual group counseling, and community experiences to building impactful partnerships with organizations like Nike, Topicals, HBO, Maybelline, Harvard University, Instagram, and the U.S. Intelligence Community, Sad Girls Club continues to expand the reach of mental health through culture and collaboration.

This is the power of Xurrency. When culture is used with intention, it creates access, unlocks opportunity, and drives real community impact.

As we close out Black Music Month, I’m reflecting on our work with the BAM Awards earlier this month, a powerful celebration founded by music industry legend Michael Mauldin that brought together artists, executives, creatives, and cultural leaders to honor the impact and legacy of Black music. 🎶 ✨

Congratulations to this year’s honorees: T.I., Jagged Edge, Anthony Hamilton, Kandi Burruss, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, and Kenny Lattimore. Your contributions have helped shape culture, influence generations, and create a lasting impact on the music industry and beyond.

Black music continues to be one of the most powerful forces in culture, driving innovation, storytelling, and connection across the globe. It was an honor to support and celebrate the individuals whose work continues to move the culture forward.

As we continue building bridges between culture and community, we’re proud to support spaces that recognize the visionaries, creators, and leaders whose influence extends far beyond music and into lasting cultural impact.🖤🪙✨

Creating space for honest conversations around resilience, growth, and mental health. 🧠✨

Social Xurrency is proud to collaborate with Hollywood & Mind at NAMICON 2026 for a conversation centered around resilience, growth, and navigating life through the lens of culture and lived experience.

Special guest Young Dro joins Cathy Applefeld Olson and Dr. Shay Thomas for an impactful discussion on vulnerability, pressure, and mental health in communities where these conversations are often overlooked. 🖤🪙✨

This month on The Social ✨

Meet ⛳

Established in 2023, Ladies Who Golf is redefining access within the game of golf by creating an inclusive community rooted in connection, confidence, and opportunity.

The platform helps professional women step into golf spaces with intention, whether they are building relationships, expanding their network, or showing up in rooms where business and culture meet.

And in a space where women make up only about 25 percent of golfers in the United States, while Black golfers represent less than 5 percent of participants nationally, access is still not evenly distributed.

With nearly 90 percent of Fortune 500 CEOs playing golf, the course continues to be one of the most influential informal networking spaces in business, making representation and access even more important.

From partnerships with the Atlanta Hawks, LVMH, Tory Burch, Wilson, PXG, KULE, and Vital Farms to youth initiatives through the Foundation and Spelman College’s FBLS Program, Ladies Who Golf is creating real pathways for connection, leadership, and opportunity.

This is the power of Xurrency. When culture is used with intention, it creates access, unlocks opportunity, and drives real community impact.

Bridging culture, community, and a new generation of entrepreneurship.✨

Social Xurrency was proud to help facilitate a meaningful cultural moment at the grand opening of Spice Atlanta by connecting civic leadership with Atlanta’s African diaspora business community.

From local entrepreneurship to cultural representation, moments like this matter. It is inspiring to see a new generation of entrepreneurs building spaces that celebrate culture and contribute to Atlanta’s growing global influence.

Thank you to Mayor Andre Dickens, State Representative Segun Adeyina, Phillana Williams, Queen Anaeki, and the entire Spice Atlanta team for trusting us to bring this moment to life in support of culture, community, and economic growth in Atlanta.

This is what bridging the gap between culture and community looks like. 🖤🪙✨

This Mother’s Day, restoration looked like mothers coming home. 💚

Social Xurrency was happy to serve as a community partner and support the development of the Mother’s Day Freedom Initiative alongside the Emerald United Foundation, Councilmember Antonio Lewis, and Councilmember Byron Amos.

What started as an idea became a real moment of impact centered on dignity, reunification, and second chances for mothers and families in our community.

Thank you to every partner, supporter, volunteer, and community member who helped make this initiative possible.

This is what happens when community shows up with intention. 🖤🪙✨

Welcome to The Social✨

Our new series highlighting cultural impact happening across the world and the ways artists, brands, organizations and community leaders are using culture to drive real change in their communities.

First up: ’s Forever My Moment Tour Contest.

Tee Grizzley launched the Forever My Moment Tour Contest, giving emerging artists the opportunity to open for him in their city during the tour. Each city selected one winner to perform on the Forever My Moment Tour stage, while the grand prize winner received an all-expenses-paid trip to Detroit for private studio time and the opportunity to record with Tee Grizzley at .

Tee has consistently found innovative ways to use his platform and resources to give back. Social Xurrency previously partnered with Tee on the Beyond Bars Impact Tour, a nationwide multi-city initiative where Tee visited juvenile detention facilities across the country, shared meals with incarcerated youth, offered motivation, and donated essential resources to encourage resilience and positive choices upon reentry.

This is the power of Xurrency. When culture is used with intention, it becomes a tool for access, opportunity, and real community impact.
