This month on The Social, meet Sad Girls Club 💙
Founded in 2017 by Elyse Fox after sharing her own mental health journey and recognizing a critical gap in care, Sad Girls Club is redefining what accessible, culturally relevant mental health support looks like.
While only 1 in 3 Black Americans who need mental health care receive it, the nonprofit is creating spaces where healing, community, and care are more accessible.
From providing therapy scholarships, free virtual group counseling, and community experiences to building impactful partnerships with organizations like Nike, Topicals, HBO, Maybelline, Harvard University, Instagram, and the U.S. Intelligence Community, Sad Girls Club continues to expand the reach of mental health through culture and collaboration.
This is the power of Xurrency. When culture is used with intention, it creates access, unlocks opportunity, and drives real community impact.
