Just like Ghostface, I’m back… since about mid October, I’ve taken a break from social media. Spooky season is always crazy, fun but chaotic. But between the unrealistic pressure, I put on myself for making and posting Halloween content and the state of the world, it just got extremely stressful. Then work started to get nuts, snow season started, family events, winter holidays all ramped up as our political system continued to spiral. Being online just lead to my mental health declining so I decided to stay off. Before I knew it, it was 2026. As we rolled into February, I slowly started checking back in. If I’m being honest, it was the excitement of a new Scream movie that drew me back in. The time away helped me refocus on my love for movies and nostalgia but also gave me the tools to stay focused on the positive not only in my life, but in this vhs community I cherish so much.

Fast forward to Thursday night as I headed to my local for opening night of Scream 7. I can’t tell you the last time I was at the movie theater, but walking through those doors was the breathe of fresh air I needed. The smell of popcorn, the upcoming movie posters, the giant standee displays and the sea of people wearing Scream/Ghostface attire was therapeutic.

Now the movie…First, let me say that I found Scream 7 very enjoyable. Was it the film I envisioned in my head? No. Did I enjoy the story they were trying to tell? Most of the time but there were still a handful of moments that didn’t sit right with me. Scream 7 continued the tradition of different tropes from all of the previous movies, had the needle drop of Red Right Hand, fleshed out a lot of Sidney‘s backstory from after Scream 4 (even if she’s now married to a different cop named Mark than we last saw her involved with) and had some pretty great suspense sequences and kills. The lack of carpenter sisters was very noticeable at times, especially after Mindy and Chad showed up. I will definitely be seeing this movie again before it leaves theaters but right now my ranking from best to worst stands as: Scream 6, Scream ‘22/5, Scream 4, Scream, Scream 7, Scream 2, Scream 3.

Is the Quack Attack back?!? 🦆🏒 please tell me it’s Knuckle Puck time again!

Is that the script to "Mighty Ducks 4"? 🤯 🦆

Kenan Thompson, who played Russ Tyler in two sequels of "The Mighty Ducks" franchise, hung out with the Ducks on Sunday 😂
