If I had to start over with a 420 credit score, here's exactly what I would do to get to a 750 in 3 months ⬇️
Phase 1: Know what you're working with ✅
Step 1 - Pull ALL 3 credit reports. Experian, Equifax, TransUnion. I need to see everything holding me back, line by line.
Step 2 - Clean up my personal info immediately. Old addresses, wrong names, outdated employers. That stuff ties you to negative accounts and has to go.
Step 3 - Make a hit list. Every collection, every late payment, every charge-off gets a dispute letter sent using consumer law. Not an online click. An actual letter that sticks.
Phase 2: Apply pressure and build positive history ✅
Step 4 - I'm not going back and forth with bureaus empty handed. I'm building my case with receipts, laws, and violations then taking it straight to http://CFPB.gov because they move FASTER when that's involved.
Step 5 - I’m calling to get hard inquiries removed. i’m gonna use a specific wording to make sure it gets removed in 24 hours.
http://cfpb.gov/
Step 6 - While that's moving, I'm adding positive accounts through Rental Karma, Self, and credit builder accounts that report on time payments every month.
Step 7 - Then I'm attacking my utilization. Getting my usage as close to 1% as possible. That's where the MAX points live.
