There’s the big thing called life that is physically experienced. In this experience you have to learn how to navigate the terrain and many times it’s terrain that you’ve never traveled so the journey can be difficult, trying and exhausting; but with each new terrain also comes new found growth, wisdom, fellow travelers and if you’re open, lots of laughs.

Sometimes, when you’re traveling, the curves, the mountains and the sinking sands can try to get the best of you; and sometimes, you want to give in.
*
It’s in those times your strength and will to keep going is reignited. It’s often times in those moments that you realize the journey of life is for you to travel but your experience of life is bigger than you.

I know even in these hard times, it’s bigger than me. I am “you”

Hello Jackson, MS! I know school has started for some and is quickly approaching for others. As an alum of Jackson Public Schools (JPS) and a former teacher of JPS, my organization is looking to bless three teachers currently working with Jackson Public Schools. We would like to bless an elementary teacher, middle school teacher and a high school teacher.

We’re asking that you nominate your favorite, most impactful teachers. Please email a short essay (maximum of 500 words) detailing why your favorite teacher should be the winner.

This video hits much different than any other. It’s the first video we’ve done without Dad and the first time we have all gone out together without Dad. We stepped high as if he were leading the way but to hit the dance floor & take pictures without him is so out our family’s norm but more, mine. Nevertheless, we managed to live in the moment and be happy we were all together.

We all have our mess, right? Despite, this crew is tighter than we’ve ever been before & I hold on to that.

Love all those in your tribe like you’ve never loved them before. Dance harder than you’ve ever danced. Laugh louder and heartier than you ever have. Hug tighter than you ever have.

For all the times black people, particularly black women, are asked to “humble” themselves and to be quiet...Angel Reese did just the opposite and was not quiet.

She did nothing different than what any other man does in sports. The act of “talking noise” in sports has been done since sports was invented. It’s the mental piece of the game.

When black people, again, specifically black women do it, we’re seen as aggressive, mean, ghetto, etc.

I applaud Angel for not dimming her light and showing her confidence in herself and her team.

This was not unsportsmanlike, this was good a great mental move…mission accomplished.

For most of you, you celebrate love in a different way. On this day, John and I celebrate love in the way of us receiving the blessing we prayed for.

After three failed pregnancies and almost losing our Ladybug only to have her be the biggest blessing in our lives together, we celebrate Valentine’s Day much different.
*
The gratitude our seed of love gives us and all of those around us is indescribable. We are so blessed to have been chosen as her parents. Personally, I could not say thank you enough to Yahweh to be worthy enough to be her vessel to this physical world.

Happy 14th Birthday my sweet, angel Ladybug love. You make me better. 🥰
