🌳 Sales Arborist– Jarvis Tree Experts
Location: Sandy Springs, GA
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports to: General Manager / CEO

Overview:

Are you passionate about trees, skilled in communication, and motivated by helping clients find the best solutions for their landscapes? Join Jarvis Tree Experts as a Sales Arborist and play a critical role in growing our business while promoting safe and environmentally responsible tree care practices. As a Sales Arborist, you'll combine your arboricultural expertise with your people skills to assess properties, provide tree care recommendations, and generate proposals for residential and commercial clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients by providing exceptional service and expert guidance on tree care.
Perform on-site property assessments to diagnose tree health and structural issues.
Prepare detailed, accurate proposals for tree work in accordance with ANSI A300 and Z133 safety standards.
Follow up on leads, close sales, and track customer interactions in a CRM system.
Coordinate with production teams to ensure that proposed work is executed safely and efficiently.
Represent Jarvis Tree Experts at industry events, trade shows, and community outreach programs.
Stay up to date with the latest in arboricultural science, pest/disease trends, and safety regulations.
Qualifications:

Degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, or a related field preferred.
ISA Certified Arborist (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire).
Proven sales experience, ideally in the tree care, landscaping, or horticultural industries.
Knowledge of tree biology, identification, common pests/diseases, and pruning/removal techniques.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable using mobile technology, CRM systems, and estimating software.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Position Overview

As an Arborist Ground Person and Climber, you’ll support our tree care crews in the field while developing your skills in arboriculture. This is a hands-on role offering a clear path for career advancement within a respected tree care company.

What You’ll Do

Learn safe operation and maintenance of tools and machinery, including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
Assist with pruning, rigging, cabling, bracing, and tree removals.
Follow all safety policies and procedures—including daily job briefings and proper PPE use.
Set up and maintain safe work zones using cones, signage, and flagging techniques.
Participate in ongoing safety and skills training.

Qualifications

1+ years of tree care experience or related field.
Willingness to work in all weather conditions performing physical labor.

Prior experience in landscaping, forestry, or similar field is helpful but not required.
Valid driver’s license required (CDL a plus).
Degree or coursework in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, or Environmental Science is a bonus—but not mandatory.
