Georgia based international artist and painter Topher Goode. I’m a man in a mission! I had a painful childhood. There was love and laughter but also a great deal of fear and pain. I learned that life was fleeting and dangerous. I learned to withdraw, to be alone and to rely only on myself. I was also an incredibly sensitive and creative child, a misfit, an outlier. I developed a profound spiritual
ity very early on. My family is not religious, yet I would dream of talking with God as early as 4 years old. That presence was real for me. This abiding unconditional love. A refuge, a sanctuary. A place of safety at a time when there was none. Out of that relationship, I have grown into a very happy and loving man. I am married to my soulmate, I own a successful art business, I have food and shelter. I live a blessed life. Perhaps we all do. I am on a mission in this life. I've always known it. It's simply this. I want to save the world. That's a daunting task, but not if I do that through my art. Not if I do it one person at a time. I believe that each and every person can experience the same love, joy, and profound connection that I have known for so many years, and a world full of people who are more connected, more centered, more loving is a very good thing. My art is part of that. I paint to give joy, to make the world and people's lives just a little better, a little happier. My collectors and clients use my work as a mindfulness tool. As a reminder to stop and connect. As a focus for meditation and reflection. I believe one moment of profound connection forever changes us. Once you have seen the light and felt the love, we are never quite the same. I invite you to share my mission, to own my art, to walk softly, and speak gently. I paint when I am guided. This collection is a visual meditation. It’s a conversation with God. Creation is an act of service and prayer for me. Every piece is intimate. My intention is simple. To help make the world a little better. This artwork allows people to experience their own profound connection with the universe, with the divine, with God. This body of work is non-denominational and is aimed at your personal experience and therefore is not specific to any one faith or religion. My collectors are individuals, architects, and designers who are looking for a profound experience of divine connection, a sense of peace, and oneness. This work is yours. ABOUT ME:
I was born in the UK and lived in London before moving to Atlanta, GA 20+ years ago. I have been an artist all my life, and come from a family of artists. I have traveled extensively, and have studied art all over the world. I feel like the greatest gift or lesson of my journey has been to reach the understanding that we are all godlike. We all have the ability to take our own vision from thought to matter. To create something where nothing existed before. We tend to give merit to work that is pleasing or comfortable, or that displays great technical skill. All of these can be aspects of art, however, they do not define art. Art, in my humble opinion, is the outward expression of inner inspiration. The desire of the maker to share something of themselves with this world. This brings me to my latest and most personal collection “DREAMSCAPES” which allows a look through this artist's eyes and with his heart. It is my attempt to share my very personal and profound relationship with the universe and the divine. I work in many styles and mediums. Many people assume that DREAMSCAPES are the result of a digital process. While I feel that would be just as valid as an artistic expression, this collection is inspired by moments in my life caught on camera, then expressed in oil, acrylic, airbrush, dry brush, and a variety of classical art mediums to produce an abstract scene that while linear is entirely analog in its creation. DREAMSCAPES are a living prayer. I do not consider this to be "my" work. I believe that this is what happens when I get out of the way and allow the creative source of the universe to move through me. This is an homage to my constant and personal dialogue with nature, with the creation, and the creator. I offer no place to rest the eye, no place to find the mundane. You will not find a tree, or a building, no cats or cars. This series is created to specifically convey and share my experience, the essence of a captured moment through this artist's eyes. A moment spent in meditation with nature and in oneness with God.
