“Keep moving, keep challenging yourself, because if it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you.”

— Bradley Tansky, Physical Therapist
When asked about the biggest piece of advice he would give somebody, Bradley Tansky kept it simple: keep moving and keep challenging yourself.

Consistent movement can be an important part of maintaining independence and quality of life.

Sometimes the next step is a little stretch.
Sometimes it’s one more repetition.
Sometimes it’s simply getting up and moving when you don’t feel like it.

Positivity doesn’t mean every day is perfect. It doesn’t mean ignoring challenges, pretending everything is okay, or forcing a smile when things are difficult.

True positivity is about finding something good in each day—even when life feels overwhelming.

The truth is, our health, happiness, and overall well-being are often shaped by the small moments we choose to focus on. While we can’t always control what happens to us, we can choose to recognize the victories, blessings, and opportunities that exist alongside life’s challenges.

What’s your favorite way to stay positive when life gets challenging?

How many times have you told yourself, “I’ll start next week,” “when things calm down,” or “when I’m ready”?

The truth is, there will never be a perfect time to begin. Whether your goal is improving your health, becoming more active, learning a new skill, strengthening relationships, or making a positive life change, progress starts with action—not waiting.

Every healthy choice, every walk around the block, every appointment scheduled, every goal written down, and every effort to move forward is a step closer to where you want to be.

The people who make progress aren’t always the most talented or the most motivated—they’re often the ones who keep showing up, even when the results aren’t immediate.

🚀 Here are our 5 steps to become those people:

WHAT IS EDWP?

If you’re caring for an older adult or someone with a disability in Georgia, you may have heard the term EDWP but aren’t quite sure what it means. 👀

EDWP stands for the Elderly and Disabled Waiver Program.

One important thing to remember: not everyone automatically qualifies for EDWP. Eligibility and available services depend on individual circumstances, functional needs, financial requirements, and program rules.

For official Georgia information about EDWP eligibility and applying, visit Georgia.gov. And to learn more about Just Peachy Home Care’s services, visit justpeachyhomecare.com

“What types of support can children receive at home?”
When your child has complex medical needs or requires additional daily support, figuring out what care is available can feel overwhelming.

And one of the biggest questions parents have is:
“Can my child receive the care they need at home?”

Support may include:

🩺 Skilled nursing care
💊 Medication administration
🍼 Tube feeding support
🫁 Tracheostomy & ventilator support
🩹 Wound care
📋 Chronic condition monitoring
🚶 Assistance with daily living activities
❤️ Support following hospitalization or during recovery

“How do I find out if my loved one qualifies for a home care program?”

If you’ve ever searched “Does my loved one qualify for home care?” or “How can I get help paying for in-home care?”—you’re not alone.

Navigating Medicaid, waiver programs, eligibility requirements, and home care services can feel overwhelming.

But here’s your reminder:
🚨 Don’t assume you won’t qualify before you ask.

The best place to start is by learning about the program and determining whether your loved one may qualify.
🏡 Start by asking:

✔️ What type of help does my loved one need?
✔️ What programs or resources are available?
✔️ What are the eligibility requirements?
✔️ Who can help us understand the application process?

Visit the official Georgia.gov resource and explore the eligibility and application information.

As we get older, maintaining muscle and strength can become more challenging—and your muscles need consistent stimulus and movement to stay strong and functional.

Why does that matter? Because strength shows up in the things you do every day.

In the latest Just Peachy Podcast, Physical Therapist Bradley Tansky breaks down why mobility matters, how movement supports recovery, and why progressive mobility can make a difference.

Don’t wait until mobility becomes difficult to start paying attention to it.
