The Athletic told the story of an 81-year-old professor in Greensboro who has been running the same weekly pickup game for 51 years. It is a story about basketball, but really it is a story about what the game means to us.

Different paths. One passion. One community. This story outlines exactly what HoopLove is all about.

So tell us: what does basketball give to you? Describe a run you’ve been a part of? Drop it in the comments. We want to hear about these.

Great piece by Rustin Dodd for The Athletic .

Link in our story.

Rustin, if you’re ever in the Annapolis area, we have a pick-up game for you to join. 🏀🤎
