In the midst of unimaginable loss, one thing has been abundantly clear: MacKenzie Johnson was deeply loved.

The outpouring of support our community has shown over the last several weeks has meant more than words can express. Every kind message, tribute, card, flower delivery and shared memory has served as a beautiful reflection of the impact MacKenzie had on this industry and on the people fortunate enough to know her.

We are grateful to see her life and legacy honored by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and we thank everyone for helping ensure her light continues to shine so brightly.

While words still feel inadequate, and the reality of returning to work without MacKenzie continues to weigh heavily on our hearts, we know this loss is still rippling through our community as more people learn the news and reflect on the impact she had on their lives. We remain incredibly thankful for the love surrounding MacKenzie, her family and the entire ADAC community.

The design community has lost one of its brightest lights.

It is with profound sadness that we share the unexpected passing of MacKenzie Johnson, a beloved member of the ADAC family for nearly 20 years.

MacKenzie was more than a colleague - she was an integral part of the spirit and heartbeat of ADAC. There are a few people who embody community the way MacKenzie did. She left meaningful impressions and deep connections wherever she went, and the love surrounding her today speaks volumes about the life she lived and the people she touched.

Her warmth, grace, generosity, and unmistakable light left a lasting impact on so many people and so many moments within our industry.

As we navigate this loss together, ADAC’s doors are open to those who would like to stop by, reflect, or share memories. We are also collecting cards and notes for her family.

Additional information on ways we will honor and remember MacKenzie will be shared in the coming days.

She will be profoundly missed, forever remembered, and always part of the heart of ADAC.

Inspired by the form of 17th-century monastic fratino tables, McKinnon and Harris’ newly launched Campostela Console Table features striking, theatrical stretchers and a natural stone top that floats at ease above an ornamental base. The table debuted at the 2026 Southeastern Designer Showhouse in a loggia designed by Suzanne Kasler Interiors.
