Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, honor the courage of the first responders, and recognize the families and communities forever impacted.

We will never forget.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to attend the Southern Family Farmers & Food Systems Conference in Texas and connect with farmers, ranchers, and agricultural professionals working toward a stronger food system.

We’re thankful for the conversations, new perspectives, and connections we’re taking with us.

Alex started Good Agriculture because she understands how much farmers carry—not just the responsibility of producing food, but the financial and administrative stress that comes with running a farm.

The goal has always been simple: let farmers focus on the farm, while we help take care of the back office.

From bookkeeping and financial management to finding funding opportunities, we're here to give farmers the support they need to build stronger, more sustainable businesses.

Because farmers shouldn't have to do it all alone.

The 15th is a big date in both September and October for a lot of businesses that pay quarterly estimated taxes. But if you're a farmer, fisherman, or in forestry, you may not actually need to worry about it.

The IRS has a special exception for farm and fishing income that can let you skip the September deadline and simply pay when you file your annual return instead.

The tricky part is knowing whether your farm qualifies. That depends on a few specifics about your income, and it's different for every operation.

We put together a quick chart to walk through the basics so you can figure out which category you fall into. This isn't tax advice, just a starting point to help you plan ahead with confidence.

If you're not sure where you stand, reach out. We're happy to help you understand what applies to your farm.

The best feedback we can receive comes from the farmers we work alongside.

We're grateful for farmers like Steven Simms, who reminds us that good financial support can bridge the gap between rural farms and the urban markets and partners they depend on.

Having a clear picture of the numbers behind the operation makes it easier to build the kind of relationships that help a farm grow, no matter where those connections come from.

Thank you, Steven, for trusting Good Agriculture to be part of your journey.

The people behind Good Agriculture are just as important as the work we do.

This week, we're spotlighting Euna and giving her the chance to share what she enjoys most about being part of the team.

For Euna, it's the opportunity to learn how every farm operates differently. She enjoys getting an inside look at each farmer's process because no two operations are exactly alike.

As we celebrate Good Agriculture's birthday, we're recognizing the people who make our work possible.
