In 2023 and 2024, 75% of our clients received "referred to hiring manager" (they never received this notification until they worked with us!). 60% of clients received federal interview requests. 40% of clients got HIRED with the federal government!

However, the federal hiring process is not a quick process. It is extremely long and extremely slow. Anyone seeking a federal position, it is a longer than expected process- keep this in mind at all times when seeking your federal government dreams! BUT still dream and go for that dream [get a good federal resume, apply for multiple federal positions with MULTIPLE federal agencies AND continuously apply, apply, apply!

On this day 1 year ago, AVAntage Health Consulting, LLC started offering resume services. It's been a learning experience but a fun one to help others seeking federal and non-federal jobs.

Doing resumes on only a very part-time basis...

Out of 20 + clients: 5 clients have received federal government jobs [2 open to public applicants and 3 scheduleA applicants], 4 clients received non federal jobs.

At least 8 clients have gone from never getting their resume sent to the hiring manager for a federal position- to now getting their resume "referred" to the hiring and 4 have been getting interviews for federal positions.

2024 will bring more good news for many of my clients, I feel it in my bones!

Word of advice to anyone seeking a federal government position....

PACK YOUR PATIENCE... If this is what you want, you need a thick skin about the long process.....

Internal (federal) hires could take 1-3 months to transfer to their new position.

External hires could take 4-6 months to start their new position (some could take 8 months).

▪︎Submission of job application to be notified if your resume has been referred to the hiring manager: Could take 1-3 months.

▪︎If resume did get referred to the hiring manager [no guarantees you will get an interview request]- if interview is requested: Could take 2 weeks -1 month.

▪︎After interview, knowing if you got selected for the position or not selected: Could take 1-3 months to hear from HR.

▪︎If selected for the position and you accept tentative offer: Could take another week to receive official offer, onboarding instructions AND get a start date.

▪︎Start date could be another 2-4 weeks.

Again, pack your patience!!!!!
