While I've been focused on corporate spaces for a good majority of my career, my journey started with college students.
They are a group that hold my heart, because so much learning and development takes place in a college classroom.
As a former adjunct professor, I cut my teeth as a speaker by walking the floors of classrooms at community colleges in the Southern California area for almost 10 years.
It taught me how to connect with people from all walks of life, backgrounds, and experiences - a skill I will use in my work, but also in my life - for the rest of my life.
To return home last month and lead a session with these amazing students in the CalWorks program at Orange Coast College, did my heart good. 🩷
We talked about handling conflict with care and confidence, and the response to the session was overwhelmingly positive!
