Real Fathers Show Up!
Willie Waters is a melodic hip-hop artist from Bimini, Bahamas, whose music is rooted in real life, honest storytelling, memorable hooks and modern production. As a father of three boys—a 3-year-old and 1-year-old twins—his biggest struggle has been finding a way to chase his dreams, make a living and still be fully present for his family. He never wanted his children to grow up feeling like music or anything else came before them, so instead of sacrificing his family for a career, he learned to build the career around them. His new song “Best x2” pulls from his Bahamian roots and personal experiences with family, relationships and ambition, while carrying a message every father needs to hear: “It’s never too late. They won’t remember your excuses, but they’ll always remember your presence.” Even for people who are not parents, Willie hopes the song is a reminder to appreciate the people who make life worth living while they are still here.
