✨️✨️ Predictions are not destinies 💙 💙

They told him what his life would look like.
They said he might never speak in full sentences.
That college wouldn’t be possible.
That becoming a meteorologist was out of reach.
But they were wrong.

This is the story of a child who didn’t form full sentences until age six.

Grew into someone who stood alone in a weather center covering an EF-3 tornado,

Went on to defend a Master’s thesis on tropical cyclones in July 2024.

His book "The Weather Inside: A Memoir of Storms, Survival, and Self-Discovery" is more than a book.
It’s a deeply personal story of autism, resilience, loss, love, and finding purpose.

From growing up in Wilmington, North Carolina, to learning how to navigate both life’s challenges and the storms in the sky.

His story is for:
💙 The autistic child wondering where they belong
💙 The parent hearing the word “autism” for the first time
💙 Anyone who has ever been told “you won’t make it”

Growth doesn’t follow a timeline.
Every child’s path is their own.
The future is not something others get to define.

He’s not just surviving anymore, he’s creating a future on his own terms and it’s more powerful than anyone imagined.

Preparing for an IEP meeting can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. I’ve put together a simple checklist you can save: bring recent evaluations and medical records, samples of your child’s work, current goals, and any communication logs. Ask about measurable goals, progress monitoring, and how supports will be provided. Watch for red flags like vague timelines or unclear responsibilities. I help Atlanta families by reviewing documents, drafting scripts, and coaching you to speak confidently at the table. Save this checklist and reach out when you’re ready to prepare together: https://wix.to/CLMyGtx 😊📋
