Congratulations to Caroline Hornbuckle, the 11-year-old daughter of Wellspring consultant Brent Hornbuckle and granddaughter of Wellspring Principal Elizabeth Hornbuckle, on an incredible accomplishment.

Caroline is the youngest person to write and present a winning grant proposal for a Wellspring client. After volunteering with LIVE2540, she was deeply moved by its mission to bridge the gap between available healthcare and childhood suffering.

In Liberia, treatable conditions such as malaria, tuberculosis, and malnutrition continue to claim the lives of children, even though proven treatments exist. Caroline shares LIVE2540’s belief that every child deserves access to quality healthcare and the chance to thrive. Inspired to help, Caroline wrote and submitted a grant proposal to 10,000 Reasons — and received the full amount requested. The funding will provide Plumpy’Nut and Therapeutic Milk to malnourished children in Liberia.

What an inspiring example of compassion, initiative, and leadership at such a young age. We are excited to watch Caroline’s future in fundraising and service continue to unfold! (And she still finds time to play with the puppies!)

Harvest for Hope was a Huge Success! Thanks to the incredible generosity of the community, Harvest for Hope raised over $200,000 to benefit the North Gwinnett Co-Op, fueling the mission to fight hunger and build hope. 💙

Congratulations to Caitlin Phillips, Wellspring’s event manager, for flawlessly orchestrating every detail and delivering a seamless event. Also, thank you to Dean Crownover, Benefit Auctioneer, for bringing energy and excitement to the live auction and fund-a-need!

We couldn’t have done it without the amazing support of the Buford Community Center, MJL Parking Service, Rico’s World Kitchen, Eagle Shotz, and Suwanee Towne Florist. Together, we’re making a real difference!

We are excited to see the impact this new space will have on the Fideles community!"

Since Wellspring opened nearly 20 years ago, this October was our busiest month for events yet. We’re incredibly grateful for Gilgal, Inc. and the Blue Jean Gala. Pam Isbecque did an outstanding job supporting them in raising over $350,000 to help women achieve sobriety and success.

Event season is in full swing! The City of Refuge’s Gathering on October 17th was a tremendous success, raising over $1.1 million to support their life-changing programs. Huge congratulations to Wellspring’s event planner, Caroline Van Eaton, for flawlessly directing an unforgettable event!

Last week, Oglethorpe University inaugurated its first female President. Wellspring principal Elizabeth Hornbuckle, an Oglethorpe alumnae, was invited to represent her graduating class in the alumni processional at the investiture ceremony. Congratulations to President McClymond and Oglethorpe University!

It is official! Men Opposed to S*x Trafficking (MOST) broke the Guinness Book of World Records for the longest softball game. A first for a Wellspring event! Congrats to Caroline Van Eaton for her excellence in event planning and methodical record keeping to achieve this certification.

Today is the second day that Men Opposing S*x Trafficking (MOST) is attempting to break the World Record for the longest softball game. Caroline Van Eaton is the Wellspring event planner who has been working tirelessly along with MOST's staff behind the scenes to make this event, which lasts for 121 hours, a great success for all involved. Men Opposing S*x Trafficking (MOST) will make a second attempt to break the world record for the “longest marathon softball game” from Sept. 17-22 at Dellinger Park in Cartersville.
