Our lab team is out in the field this week working with Daniel Island Historical Society at the Cainhoy Meeting House and McDowell Cemetery site! Lab Director Jeff Sherard, Analytical Specialist Savannah Weinrich, and Lab Technicians Kathleen Aller and Emily O'Loughlin are all leading volunteers from DIH in this public archaeology excavation. Working with a grant from the South Carolina 250 Commission, Brockington has supported GPR investigations and now archaeological excavations of this important site.

It's been a great week with Daniel Island Historical Society conducting a GPR survey for the Cainhoy Meeting House and McDowell Cemetery. We are grateful to have wonderful clients who are committed to local preservation and excited to spend time with us on-site.

Back to back Sunday features in the Post & Courier for our Charleston crew! This past Sunday, the paper interviewed Senior Architectural Historian Chelsea Dantuma about her successfull nomination of Johns Island's River Road to the National Register of Historic Places. The previous Sunday, VP and Senior Archaeologist Eric Poplin made the front page with new archaeological finds on Meeting Street.
