๐€๐๐๐€'๐ฌ ๐’๐š๐Ÿ๐ž๐ญ๐ฒ ๐€๐ฐ๐š๐ซ๐ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐„๐ฑ๐œ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž recognizes utilities with low incident rates and a strong commitment to safety programs and culture each year. In 2025, 240 utilities were recognized for safe operating practices, with honors ranging from gold to diamond based on worker-hours of exposure.

Yesterday was all about โ€œBusiness on the Greensโ€ at our Annual Spring Customer Appreciation Golf Outing!

This event is designed to bring ECG members and their key account customers together for an afternoon of networking, appreciation, and a little friendly competition.

Most importantly, itโ€™s our way of recognizing and thanking the customers who play such an important role in the success of ECG member communities.

It was a fun, enjoyable, and highly successful day filled with great conversations, strong connections, and plenty of memorable moments on the green.

What a powerful way to close out the ๐…๐’ ๐‚๐จ๐ง๐Ÿ๐ž๐ซ๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž. Sen. John Kennedy thanked lineworkers for their dedication, passion, and sacrifice in keeping the lights on, even during the most challenging weather conditions.

Last year, Sen. Kennedy signed Senate Resolution 253 recognizing and honoring lineworkers for their extraordinary service during Hurricane Helene.

On the wake of Georgia Lineworker Appreciation on April 13th, it was especially meaningful for Sen. Kennedy to attend this yearโ€™s conference and personally present Charlie Purcell, Electric Superintendent, City of Douglas, GA Government with a signed copy of the resolution in a room full of his municipal peers and colleagues.

A fitting tribute to the men and women who answer the call when communities need them most.

This morning began with an empowering leadership presentation, โ€œ๐‘ช๐’‚๐’๐’ ๐’•๐’ ๐‘ณ๐’†๐’‚๐’…,โ€ presented by Chad Johnson of Ozarks Electric Cooperative. Attendees gained valuable insight on leading with purpose, influence, and impact.

The ECG Training & Safety team also opened the floor for an engaging Q&A session, encouraging attendees to ask questions and discuss important industry topics. These conversations created a valuable opportunity for shared learning, collaboration, and open dialogue.

His performance set the tone for a warm welcome from Jay Bartlett, followed by opening remarks from Walter West.

Attendees also received an exciting update on the progress of the forthcoming ECG Training Institute in Forsyth, which is expected to open later this year. Even more impressive was the news of the state-of-the-art training equipment and tools that will be installed, giving linemen hands-on, real-life training experiences rather than simulations.

The new training facility will also be home to a dedicated memorial honoring ECG Membersโ€™ linemen whose lives were lost while serving in the line of duty.
