What is luxury gift wrapping?

Is it the quality of the materials? The time invested in every detail? Or the experience you create while your client waits?

Luxury isn’t just about what you wrap. It’s about the value you create before, during, and after the transaction.

In Booked & Busy, we explore how to position your services beyond the product and create an experience clients are willing to invest in.

Because premium pricing requires more than beautiful work. It requires perceived value.

Ready to elevate your gift wrapping business beyond the wrap? Explore Booked & Busy and learn how to turn your creativity into a premium, in-demand service.

Unpopular opinion: The wrapping IS part of the gift.

And I said what I said. 😌

Because before you ever see what’s inside, the presentation has already told you something:
“I thought about you.”
“I took my time.”
“You’re worth the extra effort.”
So I’m curious…

Have you ever received a beautifully wrapped gift and immediately felt more excited about what was inside?
Or do you genuinely believe “it’s what’s inside that counts”?

Defend your answer in the comments. 👇🏽

ASK QUESTIONS FIRST. QUOTE SECOND.

When working with corporate clients, please stop giving a price before you know what you’re actually being asked to do.

One of the biggest mistakes I see professional gift wrappers make is hearing, “We have 300 gifts,” and immediately thinking, Okay, what’s my price per gift?

But 300 gifts is not a scope of work.

Before you quote, you need to understand:
1. VOLUME — How many gifts? How will they arrive?
2. COMPLEXITY — What sizes, shapes and special handling are involved?
3. DESIGN — Is this standard wrapping or a customized/branded experience?
4. TIMELINE — When do the gifts arrive, when can production begin and when must everything be completed?
5. LOCATION — Are you working in your studio or transporting your entire operation to the client?

Because here’s the truth:
200 standard gifts and 200 luxury VIP gifts are not the same project.

And 500 gifts arriving two weeks before the deadline is very different from 500 gifts arriving five days before the deadline.

Once you understand the scope, THEN you can calculate:
Labor + Materials + Overhead + Profit = Your Investment

That’s how you move from “What do you charge per gift?” to pricing the actual professional service you’re providing.

Ask questions. Define the scope. Calculate the investment. Then quote.

That’s not overcomplicating the sale.
That’s running a business.

Save this post before your next corporate inquiry.

Professional Wrappers: Your Holiday Timeline Starts NOW. 🎁

If you’re waiting until November to get your gift-wrapping business ready for the holidays, you’re already behind.
A professional wrapping business has a timeline:

SEPTEMBER → PLAN + PREPARE
Finalize your services. Review your pricing. Forecast supplies. Determine your capacity. Start your outreach.

OCTOBER → SELL + SYSTEMIZE
Secure bookings. Send proposals. Collect deposits. Hire and train your team. Build your production schedule.

NOVEMBER → PRODUCE + MANAGE
Receive gifts. Sort. Wrap. Label. Track production. Perform quality control. Manage your team.

DECEMBER → EXECUTE + DELIVER
Meet deadlines. Complete deliveries. Manage your clients. Protect your VIP work. Deliver an exceptional experience.
The goal isn’t simply to wrap more gifts.

The goal is to operate a professional gift-wrapping business that can handle holiday demand without losing money, quality, or your mind.

I’ve created a Professional Wrapper’s Holiday Timeline to help you work through the entire season month by month—with checklists, capacity planning, booking boundaries, production tracking, and a holiday closeout review. Get the full checklist in the Resource Library.

Save this post now. You’ll need it before November gets here.
