Staying prepared is part of providing great care. 💙

Our Caregiver Support Specialist, Terrence Solomon, recently spent time in the field supporting one of our Primecare caregivers through her first aid and CPR recertification.

Ongoing training and maintaining credentials help our caregivers stay prepared to provide professional, compassionate support to the individuals and families we serve. And with team members like Terrence there to guide and encourage them along the way, our caregivers have support behind them, too.

Sometimes, helping a family find the right care starts with a conversation. 💙

For Michelle Fogo, one of our GAPP Coordinators, being out in the community is about getting to know the people behind the need. It’s listening to families, answering questions, building relationships, and making sure parents know they don’t have to figure everything out on their own.

Each conversation is an opportunity to reach a family who may be searching for support for their child and simply needs someone to point them in the right direction.

Connecting with families and sharing resources that matter. 💙💛

Primecare team members Renee Beitin, RN, and Telesha Harris, Pediatric Manager, had the opportunity to return to the Special Needs Resource Fair in Warner Robins this weekend!

It was a meaningful day connecting with families, answering questions, and sharing information about the Georgia Pediatric Program (GAPP) and resources available to support children with special needs and their families.

We’re grateful for opportunities like these to meet families where they are, provide helpful information, and continue building connections within the communities we serve.

Medicaid waivers can open the door to support at home, but not every waiver serves the same needs.

💙 ICWP supports adults ages 21–64 with severe physical disabilities or traumatic brain injuries, with services that can include personal support, skilled nursing, specialized equipment, and home modifications.

💛 EDWP supports older adults and individuals with functional impairments who need assistance remaining safely at home or in their community, including personal support services and other community-based resources.

Primecare works with families navigating Medicaid-funded home care, and our team can help you better understand your options and next steps.

For Laurie Jewell and Samie Irvine, family is part of the work in more ways than one. 💙

The mother-daughter duo works together on Primecare’s Community Outreach team, spending their days connecting with families, answering questions, and helping people better understand the caregiving resources available to them.

That makes conversations about family caregiving especially meaningful. They know that every household looks different, and so does the way families step in to care for the people they love.

In Georgia, that may include Structured Family Caregiving, support from a CNA or PCA through Traditional Caregiving, or eligible friends and family members becoming paid caregivers through Friends & Family Caregiving.

For Laurie and Samie, helping families understand those options starts the same way many meaningful relationships do: with a conversation.

For Ashley, one of the most meaningful parts of her work is serving our communities and reminding families, friends, and loved ones that they don’t have to navigate caring for someone alone.

Helping families find support through difficult situations is what makes the work meaningful to her, and it’s one of the many ways our team brings the heart of Primecare to life every day. 💛
