I am very proud to be a volunteer for ALSAC, the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® in Memphis, Tennessee. One of my heroes is prominent Atlanta business leader Priscilla Hubbard, MBA, GCHRM, DBA, committee chair of the annual St. Jude Evening of Hope in Atlanta. The event will take place on Saturday, October 22 at Mercedes Benz Stadium. A St. Jude donor for 25 years, Dr. Hubbard, is the Chief Operating Officer of Atlanta Medical Association (AMA) and the Heritage Fund of Atlanta Medical Association, Inc., the philanthropic arm of the AMA. AMA is one of the oldest African American organizations and the local chapter of the National Medical Association, which is comprised of over 500 physicians, dentists, and pharmacists who are committed to addressing health disparities in the community.
Recently, Priscilla received her Doctor of Business Administration from Northcentral University.
Dr. Hubbard also received the Executive Director of the Year in the Healthcare industry award during the Georgia Minority Business Awards ceremony held in 2018. She is also a recipient of Atlanta’s Top 25 Most Influential Person Award, which will be given during the ceremony in September. She also owns and is President/CEO of YCS Consulting, specializing in human resource consulting, strategic staffing, and executive leadership.
Not only is she president of the Patricia A. Doyle Foundation and vice president of the Board of Southeastern Primary Care Consortium, Inc., Atlanta Area Health Education Center; but also she serves on the boards of the Atlanta Airport Chamber, the Fulton Dekalb Hospital Authority and C.H.O.I.C.E.S. (Center Helping Obesity in Children End Successfully, Inc.)
Priscila has one son and three grandchildren.
