Let's check in.

How are you, really?

Halfway through the year, it's easy to focus on everything we haven't accomplished. The goals we haven't reached. The plans that took longer than expected. The dreams still waiting.

But today, let's shift our perspective.

We're further along than we were in January.

We've grown.
We've learned.
We've overcome challenges we never saw coming.
We've gained wisdom our January selves didn't have.

That's progress.

At Happen to Life Cowork, the first half of our year was filled with both wins and lessons, and we're grateful for all of it.

Before we rush into what's next, let's take a moment to acknowledge how far we've already come.

Today we celebrate the decision that changed everything for me. On April 5, 2024, I left corporate, stepped into intentional uncertainty, and chose to Happen to Life instead of letting life happen to me.

This is our second year celebrating. We coined this day National Pivot Day. We are observing it today!

National Pivot Day is an invitation to pause, reflect, and identify an area of your life ready for positive change. Your health, your relationships, your career, any area.

Then take one intentional step in that direction.

As we close out Women’s History Month, we’re ending with a bang!

Kayla Hicks, an Atlanta native, Spelman College grad, creative, and project manager, is the definition of living life on your own terms. Our kind of people.
On a path to become a neonatologist, Kayla made a powerful decision. Through deep self-reflection, she chose to pivot, recognizing that path was not her true calling and would define her in ways she did not want.
So she chose differently.

Now, she’s building a new path, honing her craft as a project manager and creating a life that reflects who she truly is.
A reminder that we all have the ability to choose differently and align with who we are. That’s what it means to Happen to Life.
National Pivot Day is April 5. We’ll be observing it on April 6.
